UEC European Bmx Championships Round 9 & 10 this weekend!!

Fingers crossed the weather is better this coming weekend as Round 9 & 10 of the UEC European Bmx Championships are taking place at the new Bmx facility in Birmingham.

To watch super fast competitive racing this is the place to go this weekend.

BMX rocks into Birmingham!!

This weekend saw the opening of the new International Bmx track in Birmingham. 100′s of racers turned up to try the track out and take part in Round 4 of the Midlands Bmx Regional Series.

Well done to everyone at Birmingham Bmx club for bringing the opening weekend together.

A challenging track which kept everyone on their toes! Even Mrs Sprocket got her bike out for the day!

Rollapaluza results!

A good night was had by all after Sprocket Cycles sponsored the Birmingham National Series Qualifier and Rollapaluza came to town.

Congratulations go to Simple for winning the ladies race. Tom Gillespie also rode really well winning the men’s over 1000m!

Well done to Mrs Spinwell and Mrs Sprocket for making up a girls race!

Now open Mondays

Following a number of requests Sprocket will now be open on Mondays starting from Monday April 4th.

10am – 5pm.

Bike Polo

Birmingham has a buzzing bike polo scene. Anyone’s welcome, the more the merrier.

This is the one time you don’t need to worry about how good your bike is as you use polo mallets to hit the ball. Bike polo is a good social activity which also develops cycle skills.

Riders meet at Calthorpe Park on Weds 6.30pm or on Sundays at Highgate Park approx 10am.
